WINES OF THE WEEKTour de France Wines! Domaine des Vercheres- Macôn-Villages 2016Bright, green-gold hue. On the nose, the wine is very open and full of white flower scents (acacia, elderberry). The structure on the palate is soft, supple and fruity. Food Pairings: Mâcon-Villages pairs perfectly with hot and cold pork meats, particularly different types of sausage. It also makes a nice match for fish, either steamed or cooked in a light cream sauce.$10.99Jean-Claud Thévenet- Bourgogne Rouge 2017Jean-Claude Thévenet made his name with his Macon whites, but in the glorious 2016 harvest, his Bourgogne Rouge turned our heads. WINES OF THE WEEK WEST COAST WONDERS Sharecropper's Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Everyone's favorite go-to weeknight Cab shines this spring. Bright aromas of blackberry, candied fruit, vanilla and brown sugar leads to a savory palate of pomegranate, green pepper and oil cured olives. This Cabernet finishes with bright acidity and lingering tannins. We recommend opening this wine now and enjoying it at a young age.$15.99Corvidae Lenore Syrah 2017A beautiful purple hue is aromatic with rich, sweet berry notes of blueberry, boysenberry, red currant and plum. The mouthwatering acidity is nicely balanced with firm tannins and layers of bright bramble fruit. As this...

WINES OF THE WEEK WINES FOR THE TABLE Marcel LaPierre Raisins Gaulois 2017 This cuvee takes the Vin de France appellation, because the Beaujolais' governing body decided to do away with the Vin de Pays designation in Beaujolais, leaving only the appellations and Vin de France. The wine is still almost all from the cru of Morgon, with a little bit of A.O.C. Beaujolais as well. No Sulfur added during fermentation. Bottled just after a winter settling (in screw cap, no less!), this wine is pure, unadulterated pleasure. If you've got a crowd (and two is a crowd in this...

THE CELLAR SPECIALS 7/31-8/6! Meinklang Burgenlandred 2015   90 Points Wine Enthusiast 60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufränkisch, 10% St. Laurent Ripe blackberry notes dominate this wine's nose and palate. Their ripe, tart juiciness makes for an appetizing, fruit-driven palate. Smooth but pervaded by freshness, it's a vibrant, juicy blend full of refreshing, ripe fruit. Uncomplicated but delicious. $14.99   Satellite Sauvignon Blanc  2016 90 points Wine Enthusiast For an entry level wine, this is impressive, offering hints of grapefruit pith, bergamot and smoke on the nose and following those up with some meaty-mushroomy notes on the palate. It's not typical, but...
