Teutonic Wine Co. Rauchwein 2017
This fruit for this Riesling came from Pear Blossom Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge (WA). It was slightly exposed to some summer fires and picked up some of those features. We felt this was an attribute and embraced the cigar box aromas and called it "Rauchwein" which means "Smoke Wine." You can pick it up faintly in the finish, like a touch of Mezcal. It's off-dry in style.
