Boyden Valley Winery, Glögg
Varietal: Sabrevois and Baco Noir
Region: Cambridge, Vermont
Tasting Notes: Similar to Germany’s gluhwein, but styled after the Swedish glögg. A semi-sweet mulled red wine, which is basically a spiced red wine best served hot. Pronounced aromas and flavors of clove, cardamom, and cinnamon dominate with orange peel and hints of red berry flavors from the red varietals. Best heated up in a crockpot.
Food Pairing: Enjoy this mulled wine out of a crockpot and float some almonds, raisins, and orange slices for your holiday meals or to keep you warm on a cold day.
