WINES OF THE WEEK
**MARCH MAYHEM WINE SALE EXTENDED**
Simi Dry Rosé 2018
Grapes: Merlot 42%, Cabernet Sauvignon 27%,
Malbec 23%, Syrah 8%
This Dry Rosé is a tribute to the Simi family's matriarch, Isabelle, who had a passion for growing roses. The color is lit from within, vibrant shell pink with a gentle lean to coral. On the nose, find ripe strawberry, tart cherry, rhubarb, subtle sweet herb, zesty citrus, and a hint of mineral. These enticing aromas set the stage for the palate of fresh strawberry and pineapple with sweet herbs, stone fruit, and lingering tart cherry. This Rosé is forward and focused on balanced acidity, nice structure, and a lengthy finish.
Mohua Sauvignon Blanc 2015
90 Points Wine Spectator
All the pieces fall into place, intense nose of grass and herbs. Crisp and racy with mango, green apple flavors that are bright and juicy, revealing a touch of pineapple on the vivid, bright finish. Unmistakably New Zealand.
Siesta Pinot Noir 2012
90 Points Wine Enthusiast
Spicy tomato aromas show an herbal side as well as red plum and cranberry notes. In the mouth, this is ratcheted down and crisp, with fine acidity creating an ideal Pinot framework. Flavors of briny plum and currant end, more oaky and richer, with a light caramel note to go with lasting dried red-fruit flavors.
