WINES OF THE WEEK
**MARCH MAYHEM WINE SALE EXTENDED**
Tormentoso Old Vine Cinsault 2015
There's a warm, ripe character to this wine, which boasts generous waves of macerated berries and cherries throughout. Accents of licorice, star anise and curing spice lend interest to the round, creamy palate.
Zum Martin Zweigelt Rosé 2016
This Rosé wine is a light-bodied, dry rosé with moderate aromas of lemon zest, strawberry cream, and crushed seashell. On the front of the palate, subtle sour cherry, lemon, and crushed seashell characteristics are refreshingly clear and prevalent. On the mid-palate, the Zum Martin Rosé has under ripe strawberry, much like the top portion of a strawberry near the stem. Very refreshing and very easy to drink. Perfect for the beach and perfect for summer baseball games and hotdogs. The bottle is one liter with a beer cap, making the Zum Martin Rosé festive and different. It is definitely a conversation piece that will be enjoyed by all.
Massolino Chardonnay Langhe 2013
In addition to making world-class Barolo, Massolino makes a sensational Chardonnay. This luscious white wine has the weight of a California Chardonnay but the crisp acidity of a white Burgundy. A touch of oak, but not much, gives the wine its rich texture. Lemon zest notes are followed by young pineapple, pear, and honeysuckle. A mineral-driven finish allows this delicious Chardonnay to pair with any saltwater seafood.
