WINES OF THE WEEK
Tour de France Wines!
Domaine de Martinolles- Blanquette de Limoux le Berceau Brut NV
The "Le Berceau" which translates to "cradle", a reference to the birthplace of sparkling wine, is produced from the Mauzac grape, a traditional grape of this region. It is produced using the Methode Traditionnelle (Champenoise). Beautiful green and yellow apple fruit intertwine with lovely mouth-watering acidity. Highly Recommended.
 $14.99

Louis Chevallier- Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2016
A Pinot Noir with a well-defined nose of brambly red berry fruit. The palate is slightly rustic and light-bodied, but fresh with tart cherry fruit and hints of brown spices with orange peel toward the pointed, firm finish.
$17.99

Terres Dorées- Beaujolais L'Ancien Vieilles Vignes" 2016
92 Points Robert Parker
Jean Paul's oldest vines--hence the name of the wine--in his home village of Charnay in the southern Beaujolais. These older vines have always been farmed organically and harvested by hand and yield small, thick-skinned Gamay berries.  Fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats. As for all Terres Dorées reds, the vinification is traditional Burgundian style offering up a classy bouquet of sweet cherries, licorice, and savory bass notes. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with supple and fine-grained but youthfully chewy structuring tannins and a long, sapid finish. It's a superb wine that would embarrass many cru Beaujolais.
