Featured this week are two classics, one from Vermont and the other overseas in Belgium. You can have these with the Thanksgiving meal or use them in a recipe, we think a Framboise cranberry sauce could be incredible.
Rock Art Ridge Runner
Ridge Runner is to malts what a double IPA is to hops. The beer is very smooth-drinking with a prominent caramel flavor from the malts and a distinct brown color. Formerly considered a lower alcohol Barley Wine, it’s 7.2% ABV fell behind the Barley Wine standards as ABV’s steadily rose over the past two decades, and thus is now called a Bold Vermont Ale.
Magnificent aroma, delicate palate of raspberries with undertones of fruity acidity; elegant, sparkling clean taste, with inviting raspberry supported by lambic complexity. Deep reddish-purple color with a pink head.
