WINES OF THE WEEK
Gai’a Monograph Agiorgitiko 2020
A medium-bodied wine, characterized by its red-purple color, with aromas and flavors of pomegranate, cherry, and butterscotch. A particularly smooth red with soft tannins, balanced acidity, and a fruity finish.
$12.99
Stamnaki Assyrtiko 2021
Stamnaki translates from Greek to mean “little wine jug.” Made from the Assyrtiko varietal indigenous to Greece, this white is characterized by its juicy citrus notes, crisp minerality, and refreshingly acidic backbone. A dry wine, located halfway between light and medium-bodied. Lime-citrus notes on the finish.
$13.99
Oenogenesis Mataroa Nautical Assyrtiko 2021
Legendary founder Bakis Tsalkos planted these seaside vines in 2006 and has dry-farmed organically ever since. He employs native yeasts in fermentation and this orange wine iteration of Assyrtiko sees 48 hours of skin contact before four months further aging in stainless steel tanks with frequent lees stirring. Minimal sulfites (lower than organic standards allow) are added at bottling with no fining or filtration. Lemon, citrus, and honey notes with a silky touch that finishes lively and crisp.
$19.99
