Chamonix Feldspar Pinot Noir 2017
Chamonix wine farm began as a labor of love for Chris Hellinger, who saw the Franschhoek Valley as perfect for the French varietals he so enjoys. The valley’s protecting mountains, which block the chilly maritime influences and limit the hours of direct sunlight, ensure that optimal ripening with balanced acidity are the hallmarks of its fruit. The wine shows cherry, violet, spice and fine-grained tannins. The use of French oak aging is beautifully restrained allowing for a harmonious wine.
