Tasting profile: A Fleurie gamay more elegant and floral compared to Moulin-a-Vent, considered to be the king of Beaujolais. If Moulin-a-Vent is the king then Fleurie is certainly the queen. The 50-year-old vines are farmed organically and biodynamically producing this lively and expressive wine. Its floral character comes from traditional carbonic maceration with intense raspberry, pomegranate, and hints of granite-like minerality and baking spices.
