This is an estate-owned and small production of red wine from the black slate and quartzite slopes in the heart of Priorat in Northeastern Spain. Organic viticulture, this blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Mazuelo undergoes only a short period of oak aging but shows depth and drinkability while young. Juicy, round, and open-knit; a peppery note adds lift and cut to warm blackberry, bitter cherry, and licorice pastille flavors. A great value!
