Marylou, named for Guy Breton’s eldest daughter, epitomizes his taste for lithe, perfumed reds with low alcohol that can be enjoyed effortlessly. Juicy, fruit-driven, and full of joyous energy, it has little tannin to speak of. Pours a deep magenta. An expansive bouquet evokes spice- and mineral-accented red fruits and pungent flowers, along with a hint of musky earth. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering finely etched raspberry, cherry, and boysenberry flavors that take a spicy turn on the back half. Finishes very long and smooth, showing sharp delineation and discreet tannins that lend subtle grip. A great match for roasted white meats like chicken, turkey, and pork, as well as salads!
