Varietal: Grüner Veltliner
Region: Niederösterreich, Austria
Tasting profile: Pratsch is committed to natural practices, and has a respect for nature. This Grüner is produced from certified organically farmed vineyards planted in a mix of loess, clay, and limestone. It also happens to be vegan. The wine is fruit forward with notes of apple, peach, and apricot on the nose. The palate is dry with fresh and tangy fruits and hints of white pepper.
Food pairing: Fondue, raclette, brats and sauerkraut.
Evolucio Blaufrankisch 2018
Varietal: Blaufränkisch
Region: Weinland, Burgenland, Austria
Tasting profile: The Blaufränkisch was planted in gravel and loam soils and is grown with organic and biodynamic practices and certified in Austria. It is fermented in neutral wooden casks lending a hint of spice in the wine. Evolucio produces a youthful light red with fresh ripe black cherry, blueberry, white pepper, plum, and blackberry notes with a velvety smooth finish. The light tannins combined with earthy and saline mineral qualities makes this a great pairing with fondue and can be slightly chilled if desired.
