Perched at 5,000 ft. and composed of poor alluvial soils with traces of limestone, grapes grown here experience intense UV exposure and extremely cool nighttime temperatures resulting in fruit of deep color, bold tannins and balancing acidity and minerality. Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, plum, cedar, clove and pepper and mirrored on the palate with just enough cocoa, tobacco and cinnamon from oak aging to frame this outstanding wine.
