Time Machine Rouge 2.0
Inspired by the wines of the Loire Valley and vignerons like Didier Barouillet of Clos Roche Blanche. Scott Frank set out to turn Oregon's "Pinotstocracy" on its head with this daily drinker under $20. This year’s rendition features a blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cab Franc. Semi-carbonic maceration, minimal punch-downs, no racking, and aging in both old barrique for 10 months before finishing in stainless steel tank leaves us with a super fresh, bright wine with great acidity. Time Machine tops out at 12.5%. This wine is equally comfortable on a dinner table entertaining guests, as it is on a front porch with a slight chill on warm fall days.
Oh, and we hear there is a Melon de Bourgogne in the wings as well!
