The Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company is the first community-owned artisan cheese and dairy facility in Vermont, beginning as a neighborhood effort to save a local hillside farm and its surrounding rural landscape. They now create small-batch, traditional world cheeses with a Vermont twist. The milk used to create the cheese comes from the farm's herd of Holstein, Jersey, Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, and Milking Shorthorn cows.
