Under The Radar Wines
(that need to be on your dinner table)!
Ruta 22 Malbec 2017
Ripe berry aromas are oaky, with raisiny notes. A big, broad palate is obtuse and tannic. This wine tastes mostly of oak, char and toast, with black-fruit notes lurking below deck. A wide, tannic, scratchy finish suggests burnt toast.

Acinum Soave Classico 2016
Golden straw color. Delicate, fruity, floral aromas of white blossoms, spiced mangos and papayas. Supple, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body with a smooth, interesting, salted nuts, roasted citrus, and olive finish with fresh fruit and no oak. A wonderfully savory and appetizing white wine.

A. Portela Mencia 2014
91 Points James Suckling
Dark purple. Powerful aromas of candied blackberry, blueberry and licorice, complicated by violet and cracked pepper. Lush, intensely flavored and smooth, offering spicy dark berry and cherry compote flavors enlivened by a subtle floral nuance. Finishes sappy and long, with resonating spiciness, a hint of licorice and chewy tannins.
