WINES OF THE WEEK
Poliziano Rosso Di Montepulciano 2016
91 Points James Suckling
Poliziano selected a number of vineyards with particular characteristics in order to obtain a wine that is young, fruity, full-bodied, but not hard. Lots of cherry and floral aromas follow through to a medium body, solid core of fruit and a juicy and delicious finish. Drink now.
Crovidae Ravenna Riesling 2017
Sourced from two vineyards in the Yakima Valley, fermentation in 100% stainless steel to keep all of the bright aromatics in place. A touch of residual sugar gives this wine beautiful texture, while the clean, natural acidity provides a focused attack and a crisp finish. Showing stone fruits, ginger snaps and honey.
Pecchenino san Luigi Dogliani 2017
San Luigi is an excellent introduction to Pecchenino's line of elegant Dolcetto wines which showcase their unique profile. The color is ruby red with violet highlights. The bouquet is fruit-forward with notes of currants, raspberries, blackberries and prunes. The flavor is well-balanced with sweet tannins and good acidity.
