WINES OF THE WEEK 9/18-9/24!
Mapresco - Vinho Verde 2016
Light, fresh and fruit driven with a little sparkle, we love Vinho Verdes for the simple, yet undeniable, pleasure they provide. Apples and limes lend their crispness to this enjoyable white. It has a light fruitiness underpinned by bright acidity. Drink now.
La Croix Peyrassol 2015
This red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. The blend is unique for Provence, and the wine displays approachable rich plum and dark cherry fruits, framed by an unmistakable Provençal influence of wild herbs and minerality. It is a wonderful wine to pair with food, particularly hearty beef, lamb, and braised dishes.
Yves Duport Bugey Fleur de Chardonnay
Nestled at the foot of the Alps, Bugey is an intriguingly new source for compelling wines from Savoie. The Duport shows a fine balance of fruit, zest and minerality. A touch of Chablis with a bit of Rully in style at a fraction of the cost of either AOC.
