WINES FOR THE FEAST!
Château de Pizay Beaujolais Blanc 2018
This Mâcon-style Chardonnay, from just south in Beaujolais, offers delicate floral and apple flavors infused with a gentle palate-pleasing minerality. Matured in six-year-old barrels, this wine is fresh and balanced, with just a light touch of toast. Ready to drink now.
J. Mourat ‘Fiefs Vendéens’ Rouge 2018
Fiefs Vendéens is the westernmost region of the Loire Valley, and because of its proximity, the Atlantic is the dominant climatic influence. This blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Cab Franc, is bright and juicy with lots of cherry and raspberry, subtle earthiness, and intriguing floral nuance.
Domaine Fournier ‘Père & Fils’ Pinot Noir 2017
The Fourniers have been making wine in Sancerre since the 1800s. Their Pinot Noir is elegant and round with notes of black currant, raspberry, and spice. It is bright and juicy. Serve slightly chilled with white meat or richer fish dishes, also great with goat cheeses.
