This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast. Gewurztraminer that is sourced from two sites within the marine climate of the Elkton, Oregon AVA. Grown on 35 to 40 year old vines in alluvial soil, this wine provides a lemon curd and grapefruit profile with spicy cardamom and honeysuckle in the background. Lychee notes appear with airing, but tart acidity makes itself known. This wine then finishes medium-dry, with a full and lasting mouthfeel.
