NEW SALE WINES!
The Calling ‘Dutton Ranch’ Chardonnay 2017
This Russian River Valley Chardonnay is a remarkably balanced wine that is steely in nature, with bright aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, and Meyer lemon. These tones follow through on the palate, alongside a fleshy texture and mineral stoniness that refreshes and lingers.
Clos Saint Joseph Provence Rouge 2015
Made from Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines that are up to ninety years old. The alcohol clocks in at 13%, very reasonable for a Provençal Rouge. Gamey notes mingle with velveteen dark fruit, the palate showing elegance and restraint. A limestone freshness ensures great balance whether you choose to uncork it now or in a decade.
Lucchetti Spumante Rosé NV
A fun, sparkling Rosé that is made from 100% Lacrima, an indigenous dark purple grape that exemplifies the Marche wine region of Italy. Bright and vibrant, with aromatic white peach, strawberry, and floral notes. Full, rich mouthfeel with clean and crisp acidity that finishes dry!
Riofavara ‘Sciavè’ Nero D'Avola 2014
From a parcel of the estate’s oldest vines in the Eloro region of Sicily, the Sciavè is bigger and brawnier than the rest of the Riofavara wines. Everything is deep and dark: the color, the fruits it's aromas suggest, the tarry concentration, its notes of licorice, and the spice elements that prickle the sides of the palate. For all its outright power, this beast of a wine boasts an acidity that keeps things refreshing, along with tannins of remarkable finesse.
Hervé Villemade ‘Sauvignon’ Loire Valley VdF 2018
Located near the Cheverny region of the Loire Valley, Hervé Villemade has reinvigorated the old world, hands-off approach to making wine. He organically farms his vineyard planted in the flinty, sandy soils that are common to the area, creating clean, natural, easy drinkers. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc shows exotic tropical fruit and invigorating flavors of lemongrass, ripe pear, and nectarine.
Forlorn Hope ‘Ost-Intrigen’ St. Laurent 2016
Originally a grape of Austria, this California-grown St. Laurent is a dark-skinned, aromatic enigma. Grown by Dale Ricci in his Carneros vineyard, the 2016 Ost-Intrigen can be described as a perfect combination of Pinot noir and Syrah: bright fruit, spicy aromatics, medium-light tannins, with cured meat savory elements. 100% whole cluster fermented; aged in neutral barrique for 10 months.
