Wines of the Week!
2015 Pierre Angulaire Bordeaux Blanc
(95% Sauvignon Blanc 5% Semillon)
Made from 100% organic, handpicked grapes. Delicate mineral notes, soft hints of citrus and well-balanced acidity- a lovely departure from over-grassed, grapefruit-laden Sauvignon Blancs. The Angulaire floats. One sip and you're ready for the next!
This is a unique blend made by the hip Folk Machine team for Doc Ponds in Stowe. It begins with beautiful aromas of spice, licorice, blueberry and raspberry. The palate is smooth and light to medium-bodied. There's an abundance of nicely integrated spice with fleshy apple notes, blueberry and assorted red fruits. The finish is clean and dry. Made with Barbera, Charbono and Petit Verdot.
2015 Domaine Bousquet Malbec
Domaine Bousquet produces world-class quality wines applying both French and Argentine know-how in the wine-making process. This is a lush, soft, nicely spiced effort that offers rich fruit and just enough backbone to pair with something grilled or a pasta in red sauce. Astonishing value.
