Wines of the Week!
2012 Anton Bauer Zweigelt Feuersbrunn
Zweigelt is the grape and is to Austria as Malbec is to Argentina. Medium in body, this effort by Anton Bauer shows Bing Cherry and raspberry flavors that are complemented by finely integrated spice. Smooth tannins are balanced by a streak of bright acidity. The finish is long and lingering. A scrumptiously drinkable high altitude red!

2010 Cal Blanca Toro
A 90 point Toro made from 100% organic Tempranillo. Dark purple in color with wonderfully pungent aromas of cassis, candied plum, licorice and smoky minerals. Bright acidity lifts the spicy dark fruit flavors. Finishes sweet and long, with gentle tannins that add a nice grip. Powerful, elegant and perfect with roasts, BBQ and brisket.

2015 Mont Gravet Côtes de Gascogne
Comprised of 100% Colombard, which is a relative of Chenin Blanc, this wine has a crisp yet creamy texture. The palate is bright and cheerful with touches of pineapple and mango, a faint "green note" reminiscent of kiwi, and a flinty mineral touch that hangs on the palate. The Gravet is nicely dry and low in alcohol- a great companion to most any food we could think of and a lovely glass of wine to simply sit and sip!
