Wines of the Week 5/23!

2014 Evodia Old Vine Garnacha
"Made from very old head-pruned vines that are not irrigated from pure slate soils, some of the vines are close to 100 years of age. This is really an amazing wine for the price. Deep ruby/plum purple, with loads of blueberry and black currant fruit, underlying crushed rock notes all present in this remarkable wine."

Undurraga Sparkling Brut NV
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Hand harvested grapes. Separate first fermentation. Blended second fermentation. A bright, refreshing sparkler with a lovely mouthfeel. On the palate red berries, hints of citrus and a touch of brioche. South American bubbles! Who knew!
A very nice surprise.

Underwood Rosé
Wine in a can? We chuckled when the Underwood Pinot Noir arrived...until we tasted. Underwood's latest release is Oregon fruit, estate grown, travel-ready and good! Not sweet but with a little more fruit than many of its European counterparts. This is a summer fun in a can!
