2010 Chateau Philao La Gravelle Bordeaux
This Bordeaux is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep, rich, black cherry color with dark red berry, cedar, spice and leather notes. It's an ideal wine for beef or grilled lamb or stew. A solid $10 Bordeaux from the touted 2010 vintage? Ferme la bouche!
2015 Punti Ferrer Sauvignon Blanc
This wine ferments on lees in stainless for 2-3 months before bottling. We love the body and mouthfeel this adds to the pure, clean fruit. Pale yellow in color with flashes of green in the glass, you get lemon and green apple on the nose with crisp citrus notes on the palate. The finish is clean and fresh. Salads, sushi, chicken, shellfish- perfect!
Casa del Mar Blanc de Blancs Brut Cava NV
Old Vines make seriously good wine and this producer has 70 year old Xarello vines. It adds depth, richness, and complexity to the wonderfully balanced citrus fruit and fresh baked bread aromas. Long lasting bubbles and a pleasing toasty finish make it complete!
