Cellar Club October 2017

Cellar Club October 2017
Come by and pick up the amazingCalifornia wines we selected for you!

California wine is unique. In most of the world's major appellations, a region offers one, or even a few types or style of wine. Many areas allow only one, or perhaps a couple of different grape varietals. That is not the case with California wine.

It can easily be argued that California wine comes from the most interesting soils and terroirs for wine lovers, winemakers and wine growers alike. Those soils and terroir have propelled the popularity of California wine so much that close to 90% of all wine in America comes from California.

Enjoy these two special wines for our October 2017 Cellar Club selections. Cheers!
Wine Pick #1:
Stillman St. Chardonnay
Alexander Valley
At Stillman Street, their wines are made to mingle with good food and great friends. Crafted from their own estate fruit, as well as grapes from top Alexander Valley vineyards, this Chardonnay offers fresh and enticing flavors, with lovely layers of Anjou pear, apple, ripe grapefruit, and peach blossom. Perfect all on its own, or paired alongside chicken or fish, Stillman Street Chardonnay turns simple moments into celebrations.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
At Aviary Vineyards their goal is to create the perfect glass of wine using blends from the best vineyards. Their 2015 Cabernet vintage is gentle and elegant, opening with soft notes of raspberry, spice, and creamy vanilla. These notes are joined with delicate layers of cassis, cedar, and tobacco, balanced with bright tannin and a light hint of anise. This tasteful wine will instantly elevate any dinner, but would shine exceptionally when paired with lamb or beef.
Along with your 2 bottles of wine
you will be receiving
Argentinian Parmesan Reggianito
Reggianito is a hard, granular Argentinean cheese invented by Italian immigrants who arrived in the country after World War I. They wanted to make something that would remind them of their native Parmigiano Reggiano.
A perfect pairing for both wine selections and great in our recipe of the month:
Pumpkin Fettuccine Alfredo.
