BEERS OF THE WEEK
Two special beverages are featured this week. One is a collaboration of two world-renowned breweries from Maine and the other is a uniquely flavored cider from local favorites Stowe Cider. Supplies are limited so hurry on by to see for yourself!
Oxbow/Allagash Wild Rivulet
The base beer was a collaboration between Oxbow and Allagash. The combined brewing team used a Pilsner base, local wheat, and local oats. The hop bill consisted of Aramis, Mistral, Grundgeist, and Czech Saaz. The beer then underwent open fermentation using Allagash's saison strain. Before going into a foudre, the beer was blended with wort that had cooled in Oxbow's own coolship, which they then transferred to Allagash. Wild Rivulet carries hints of citrus, wine-like aromas and a silky, dry flavor that's augmented by the tartness from its time in the foudre.

Stowe Cider Brainwaves: Gummy Bears
Straight from their brains to your taste buds comes a mouthwateringly unique cider. Heeding the mysterious calls of their dreams, the Stowe crew twisted up a tasty base cider which was co-fermented and aged on blue raspberry, orange, strawberry, and wild cherry gummies. The result is an otherworldly cider that is dry, as cider should be. One flavor of each brew comes in this unique four-pack.
