Our Vermont Cheese Special of the Week 2/26!
Established in 1997, Cobb Hill is the combination of two older dairy farms located in Hartland, Vermont, that merged to create a beautiful, 260-acre cooperative dairy, farm and community of families. For the last 16 years they have been handcrafting 2 types of farmstead artisan cheese. Every batch of cheese is made from fresh milk every other day. Cedar Mountain Farm's jersey cows provide a rich milk which imparts a delicious, nutty flavor to the cheese.
Their prize-winning cheese, Ascutney Mountain was developed from a Swiss Appenzeller recipe. It has an alpine-style natural rind and is aged 9 to 10 months to develop its sweet nutty flavor.
